Olympic Committee Contributions

Alter each Olympic Game, the IOC, International Olympic Committee, distributes among the International Federations part of the economic benefits of that Olympic Game.

Each International Federation must use those contributions, for the development of its sport.

In our case, after the Atlanta Games in 1996, the IOC paid the FIVB U$S 4.834.000, but the FIVB only registered in their accounts U$S 3.185.680.

After the Sydney 2000 Games , the IOC gave to the FIVB USD 9.023.600, but the FIVB only registered USD 7.540.843

THE DIFFERENCES, MISTERIOUSLY DISSAPEARED ARE OF USD 3.131.077

Where he declares having paid USD 4.670.000 plus USD 164.000 for officials expenses.

IOC’s certification regarding the credit of USD 8.780.600 in favour of FIVB plus USD 243.000 for Officials expenses.

Copy of FIVB’s Financial Statement 1996 with the detailed incomes, where in the account 7110 are reflected Swiss Francs 3.613.198, that taking in consideration the rate established by FIVB of 1.342 SFr per USD, means USD 3.185.680 That means a difference of USD 1.648.320

Copy of the FIVB’s Balance Sheet 2000, where in the account 7110 (Olympic Games), are detailed SFr. 13.013.987,58, at a rate of 1.7258 SFr per USD (Following FX Converter of the date of credit), that means USD 7.540.843,42.
The difference is of USD 1,482,757
